From our guests – Khao Sok tour reviews

Would highly recommend.

The place is fantastic, you feel immersed in the jungle a million miles from anywhere.
The accommodation is rustic and nice, the surroundings are amazing, the staff are fantastic. They are friendly and helpful at all times.
The food on offer is delicious with a nice mix of western and Thai food to choose from, all very well priced.
The elephant sanctuary was unmissable, the elephant carer’s were amazing and gentle with those beautiful animals, feeding, then the mud bath followed by cleaning in the river is something you have to experience. The other great activity was the organic farm / cooking class visit. The guys there were so great to spend time with and the food was so good I’ve cooked the red curry several times since we got back

Magical Oasis

Amazing and calm environment. Beautiful rooms. Incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. Monkeys right outside the rooms drinking from the river. It was just magical.
Lovely food from the restaurant and they have snacks, hygiene products etc available at reception for your convenience. Also were able to access and atm via the shuttle run into the town. Was a 30 minute round trip very convenient.
We could have stayed forever!
Also really recommend the overnight lake stay too. So many activities included and all good is taken care of for you. Also a great way to socialise.

Quiet wonderful nature refuge

This is a wonderful place in the jungle with lovely huts and great food and very attentive staff. You will be spending amazing days in a quiet jungle setting. The cottage also provides good transport links to the village and national park entrance as walking is not recommended. Remember that Khao Sok is one of the wettest places in Thailand, usually the mornings are good and the afternoons rainy. Do take a swim at the beach, it is lovely. Just one point to note – there were some swings at the beach and the ropes made from synthetic material were dissolving and need replacement, don’t touch them until this has been done.

Wonderful experience

We did the 3D2N rainforest & lake tour package, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Everything was organized very well and the scenery around Khao Sok was beautiful. Could have spent one extra night there.

Fantastic 3 Day Tour in Khao Sok National Park

We booked a 3 day, two night tour with Khao Sok Riverside Cottages. The location was very relaxing, the food at the restaurant was good and the service was fine. The tour was the highlight of our entire trip to Thailand. We had one night in the floating bungalow on the lake in the national park. It was fantastic. The half a day trek including a decent walk and swim inside a cave.

I would highlight that there are a lot of jungle noises, bangs, large spiders, insects, etc. If you are scared of these, you might not enjoy it. There are mosquito nets inside the rooms which help.

The only downside is the safety on the tour could be improved. There should be more guides and training provided as you have to swim in the cave and the conditions are quite slippery with sharp rocks around. If you were to slip there might not be someone nearby to help.

Overall – highly recommended for the scenery, location and experience.
